  This office has denied to give me my medical records TWICE now. Legally they have to give them to me in some form or another. I will be reporting them to the Office of Civil Rights concerning this. Other things about this office - the staff is extremely rude, both in person and on the phone, and they do not call you back. You have to continuously call them in order to get some form of response.

  This office has refused to give me my medical records multiple times. I have contacted them and even have gone into their office and they have still refused. The staff is unbelievably rude. Just called and was treated horribly. It is illegal not to give me access to my medical records. Would give them 0 stars if I could.

  I was given 11 pages of paper work to fill out a few weeks ago from this doctor's office to become a new patient. The doctor's receptionist told me that the office would not schedule an appointment for me until they received medical records from my previous doctor. After filling out all the paper work I waited. Over the course of time I revisited the office 3 times to see if my old records had been received. I was told no the first time, the second time I was told that they had made 2 more requests for my records and right now they were just waiting. The 3rd time I went into the doctors office I asked again if any of records had been sent over to their office yet? The receptionist looked and replied no. I asked her how long would they actually wait to schedule me an appointment if they never received my records from the other doctors office. The receptionist replied, that is our policy. I then informed her that I had changed my mind and would not be coming to their office after all. I asked for the 11 pages of my personal information back that I had given to her a couple weeks prior. The receptionist replied no! She said that all my information now belonged to their office. I told her that I would like all my personal information back. I said that it had my social on it and all my medical history and many other personal things. She replied NO! I then asked for the information to be shredded since I will not be coming to their office, so she threw it in an open trash can by the desk. I again informed the receptionist that I wanted my information to be shredded and she replied, "It will be done in the evening." I said to her if you are refusing to give me back my information then I want to see it shredded. She took it from the trash and called for another person. She then stuck her hand out of the doorway and handed it to someone else. I told her I would like to see my information shredded for myself. She said," No! No one can come back here." I asked to speak with the doctor about the receptionists' refusal to give me back my own personal information that I had filled out. She said, "No the doctor is busy." I told her that I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau about this matter and she said go ahead. This was a very unrestful experience for me. To think that your own information does not belong to you is scary.
